The primary meaning of the word peace is to “bind together”. It suggests that one is only at peace when he or she is bound together in a right relationship with God. Hence, Paul wrote, Therefore, having been justified by grace through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. As a direct result, Christ brings to us the end of war against ourselves, others and God. He comforts us with the security of His protection, and he prospers us with salvation and and abundance of blessings.
