God’s Call To Collaboration- Fellowship
In the first epistle (letter) to the Corinthians, Paul said that God has called us into fellowship. “God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Cor. 1:9).
Fellowship means joint participation. Christians are not to isolate themselves but are to participate together in the work and worship of the church. We are workers together with God (2 Cor 6:1-2). Our fellowship should remain steadfast, (Acts 2:42).
The church belongs to Christ. It is His body. In like manner, fellowship belongs to Christ. It is His fellowship. We are called into the fellowship of Christ.
Have you answered the call of fellowship? Are you a part of the body of Christ? Do you belong to the local church that meets in your area? Are you working to carry out the God’s purposes and plans in your life.
Fellowship allows us to participate together in the work and worship of God. We jointly preach the gospel and serve in the church and community.
Giving is an act of fellowship. Fellowship also means to share together. “Let hm who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.” (Gal. 6:6) Many seek to mock God by not giving to support the ministry, but God is not deceived saying they will reap as they sow.
Paul wrote to the church at Philippi to thank God for their fellowship in the gospel from the first day to the present time that he wrote the letter. (Phil. 1:5) Fellowship is highly valued by God. He loves it when brethren work, worship and serve together.
